Kevin Palmer

All of us, are many things, to many people.

Principals, leaders, teachers and Board members have many demands placed upon them and their time. And communities also have high expectations of their local schools.

You are a friend, partner, father/mother, learner, advocate, colleague, teacher, son/daughter, brother/sister, representative, leader, mentor, manager, coach…. And the list goes on.

Kevin Palmer, of KP Educational Consultancy (KPEC LTD), has the experience, the knowledge, the skills and the time to help and support you in your school-related roles and responsibilities.

After Kevin completed his teacher training at Palmerston North Teachers’ College (PNTC) he began his initial teaching career in the primary school sector. Following a few years of OE travel and work in the finance recruitment industry, he returned to NZ and took up a secondary sector teaching career which involved HoD, Year Level Dean and Senior Management Team roles.

Kevin has also been both a Staff Trustee and Parent Trustee on Board of Trustees.

Following a successful teaching career, he sought new challenges and moved from the education sector into project management work. This involved bringing together various government and non-government agencies together to set up the first Safety Advisory Board, and this was followed by several further years working for the NZ Police.

In 2011 he started up his own educational consultancy and advisory company drawing on the experiences and skills gained through a strong and successful background in education, communications, partnership building and investigation type work.

Kevin is based in Palmerston North serving clients mainly in the central and lower North Island but he also travels for work in the South Island and the upper areas of the North Island.
